Preamble :

He will swallow up death in victory, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces, and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth, for the Lord hath spoken it , And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us, this is the Lord, we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation (Isaiah 25 : 8 – 9).

Life on earth is too short , and full of uncertainties and pains,. Even our Lord Jesus also experienced this wicked natural phenomenon, However, our heroin Sister OWOIMAHA OKON EFFIONG had her own share of life short periods of bliss and sustained  periods of pains and agony during herstay on earth.

We cannot question God,, He made  everything beautiful in his time,  Always he hath set the word in their heart, so that no man can fine out the work that God maketh  from  the beginning to the end (Eccl. 3 ; 11)

Birth And Parentage:

Late Sister Owoimaha okon effiong was born on 20th January 1940 to the family of late chief okon efanga okpukpan ankwagha in nung akpabio etuk in nung ema family both in itu local government area, akwa Ibom  state.

Education:

Female children  education  was not given a priority at that particular time and the fact that she lost her parent very early in life. Hence she had no opportunity to enrolled in school, thereby depraving her of basic  formal education. She tried all her effort to encourage her children to acquire basic education training.

Marital Life:

Late sister Owoimaha Okon Effiong  got married to late Mr. james Bassey Ekanem of Nung eniang udobia, after the death of her husband she remarried to Late Mr. Okon Effiong udoekpa of Nung Obio idop both in Nung Ema family. The marriage was blessed with seven children, four females and three males who are alive to bid her  farewell. She was serving, caring, kind dedicated wife and mother. She loved and care not only for her biological children, she was equally a mother to every poor and needy she came in  contact with during her life. She will be greatly missed by all these children she left behind.

Occupation:

Late sister Owoimaha okon effiong was a trader, she had to trade in order to carter for her children, hence she engaged in petty trading mostly in palm oil and food stuffs. She took trading as a career traveling far and wide to sale her goods. She was very honest and straight forward, dedicated to her calling that people especially her customers relies on her wares at every given time.

Social Life:

Nnenne was very friendly, peaceful and very considerate wife mother, sister inlaw, mother inlaw and a friend,these attributes endeared her to everyone that came in contact with her. She never had real physical enemy  because she was always quick to accept responsibities for any misunderstanding. She was a good woman, cherished by both her children and her extended family. She will be missed by many especially her children. The community is not left out and she was a contributor to the well-being of her community in levies and other donations. She was a member of mboho iban ufok nung ema and nka ima esit iban ikot andem itam.

Christian Life:

Late  Sister Owoidoho okon effiong was born into a Christian family. Her parent worship with the Presbyterian Church  then called Church of Scotland Mission. She later changes her faith to the Church of Christ when she remarried and she remained committed till death.

Death:

Our destination is a place, far greater than we know. For some, the journey is quicker, for othersthe journey is slow. And when the journey finally ends, depending on how good we were on earth, we will claim great reward and find an everlasting peace with the Lord.

Nnenne health standard dwindling she was care for, attended to by her children promptly and swiftly, but it came to a point that nothing the children could  do, since death as it is opened by many is inevitable end, it comes when you never expected, hence on the May 9th, 2020 at about 8:45am she answered the eternal call. May her soul find eternal rest in the bosom pf our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

She survived by seven (7) children, 12 Grand children, Five (5) cousins, Four (4) Nephew / Niece, Two (2) great-grand children and Two (2) son in-laws

APPRECIATION

The entire family of late Mr. James Bassey Ekanem and Late Mr. okon effiong udoekpo sincerely thank the almighty God for making this burial a huge success.

Our special thanks goes to the Church Of Christ, Ikot Andem Itam. nung eniang , nung obio idop family and okpukpan ankwagha all in Nung Ema Family.

We are also grateful to our in-laws, relatives, friends, villagers and well wishersfor their visits, calls and moral support for the success of our mother`s burial.

May the good Lord bless and grant you journey mercies back to your various destinations and perfect all that concerns you in Jesus name, Amen.
